Owned and run by experienced breeder, competitive show jumper and yard owner, Andrea Altona – De Klerk, our friendly yard is situated within a very safe and secure estate. With 24 hour, bio-metrically controlled access to visit and ride your horse, even non-residents of Mooikloof Equestrian Estate can enjoy the safety and security that the estate offers.

We welcome a wide range of clients from happy hackers to highly competitive riders. Show preparation is our forte – not only will we wash, plait and transport your precious ponies to their show venues, we also offer experienced grooms to accompany you to your show, ensuring a stress-free showing experience.

Whilst it is mostly our competitive clients who will make use of our full show turnout services, happy hackers and competitive riders alike will delight in our scenic bridle paths, weaving throughout the estate along beautiful designated bridle paths, only accessible to pedestrians and horses.

Our facilities include two full size dressage arenas (60m x 20m), a smaller children’s dressage arena (40m x 20m), a 30m x 70m sand jumping arena and a 60m x 80m grass arena. We also offer a double ring lunge ring as well as a regular 20m diameter lunge ring. Our floodlit arena ensures that you are never left in the dark,  even when you are stuck at the office ’till late! A solarium is situated on site, offering heat therapy in the form of infrared lamps, perfect for a spa pamper session! We have a horse walker on site to keep your horses moving and active!

Although our resident, qualified instructors offer a wide range of expertise to suit every discipline and level of rider, outside instructors are most welcome! We host clinics and our ever popular  training shows are held once a month. 

We pride ourselves in ensuring that each horse is loved and managed as an individual and that the owner has full control in selecting their Farrier, Dentist, Vet. Instructor, Physiotherapist, and whoever you would like.
